As the chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, this debacle happened on his watch. The question isn't what was Paulson doing. The question should be..."Mr. Dodd, why were you asleep at the switch when this train wreck occurred"? And it did not happen overnight! I distinctly remember way back in the early and mid 1990's Mr. Dodd, in his capacity as the head or ranking member of the Banking Committee, pressing for lenders to ease credit so more people could afford to buy homes and share in the American dream. It seems to me he shouldn't point any fingers, they should be pointed at him. Is there any way the taxpayer can sue these dangerous politicians for the bad decisions they make and for general incompetence?
