Parents Getting Into the Mix On Improving Public Schools

Submitted by A. S. Evans, Sep 9, 2008 11:44

Thank you for reporting on how disenfranchised parents feel with the current public education system, especially under mayoral control, where parents are not really listened to. This has resulted in the current overcrowded situation and monies spent on bloated bureaucracy rather than in the classroom where it can really make a difference in a child's education. The NY Sun has one of the most intelligent and intrepid education coverage and I am grateful that you use your public voice to draw attention to important issues, like this article (Parents Getting into the Mix on Improving Public Schools). Thank you and please keep up your excellent and informative education reporting.
