In this unprecedented election year, I think we can continue to expect unprecedented things. Herewith, regarding Mrs. Clinton's suitability for office, Mr. Biden's statement: "Ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to be the candidate for vice-president, and Senator Obama's running mate. He is by far the right man for the job. We all know how vitally important it is for him to be the next president, and for the Democratic Party to win this election. In view of this, all our best selfless efforts should be turned toward that end. And I fully support Senator Obama in his efforts to galvanize and once again electrify the electorate, invigorate his campaign, and inspire the nation. 'Change' is not just something he prescribes, but also something which he embraces. Therefore, I am relinquishing your nomination for vice-president with even more pride than with which I accepted it. Senator Obama will, within the next fifteen minutes, have a statement to make to the press. Thank you very much."
