I am afraid that in spite of the recent Palin "surge" McCain will lose in the end. His campaign staff does not do homework. He himself and his staff apparently do not read newspapers. There are many facts they could have used to their advantage, facts such as Obama has received more contribution from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac than almost all the other senators, even though he hasn't been in the senate very long. He secured a huge amount of "pork" for University of Chicago Hospital, where his wife is a vice-president. All these can be easily verified, and they are legitimate questions. He and his staff let them slip through their fingers. By contrast, Obama's people let no Alaska stone unturned. They are diligent and clever, battle-hardened and ready for new combat.
