'Righteous Kill': The Case of the Vanishing Legacies

I saw this movie last night and was, sadly, disappointed. I had been waiting a long time to see these two "actually" together in a film. It's very clear that the best days of both these fine actors are well behind them, and I've been a huge fan of both. The last time they "appeared together" was in the thriller "Heat". But thanks to "movie magic", they weren't actually together in that film but it was still 100 times better than Righteous Kill. The only real rolls left for these two, rolls that would be more realistic for them to play, would be if Pacino played an aging, gay actor, and DeNiro did the life-story of Bella Lagousi (sp.) since DeNiro is a dead ringer for the old horror-film legend.
