Next Bailout May Be for Automakers

That the "big three" automakers should get a bailout is fair because competition based in Japan, Korea, China and European countries are always subsidized by their governments. However, it is only the fault of these corporations themselves that they are in such a mess. The "foreign" competition is more responsible in their decision making while the 3 U.S. based manufacturers go for big money fast. That's why they revelled in profits during the SUV and big gas guzzler fads. Now, the party is over and government (which is always the problem when they try to enforce ant-pollution and safety standards to protect the general public) is looked to for a bailout. Actually, it's the taxpayers who constantly subsidize the big three with tax abatements, etc. Government is big, bad, and always getting in the way of "free enterprise"-- except when they need another handout. This time, they should get the bailout and be put under public ownership. If not, they will revert to irresponsible decision making and management.
