Congestion Pricing Is Popular Among Ideas To Boost MTA

More scams, with congestion pricing being the biggest. It was a scam then, it's a scam now, and it will still be a scam tomorrow I'd love the Sun to tally up the four biggest money-pit transit projects. The Fulton Mall/hub, the 7 line expansion to connect luxury housing and office space that doesn't exist yet, the Grand Central-Penn connection (primarily for the non-NYC residents that use them), and the 2nd avenue line (which is now basically a shuttle, but allowed the city to eminent domain all the rent stabilized apartments between 42nd & 96th st). The cost of these useless projects combined with the multiple slush funds uncovered during Bloomberg's term is disgraceful. All of the transit projects supposedly to be funded through congestion pricing could have easily been funded with this money and probably without any fare hikes. I never heard any residents of the Five Boroughs begging for any of these projects- but we certainly are paying for them.
