Bring Back Greenberg

Submitted by Mary Teresa, Sep 18, 2008 01:47

I worked for AIG for over a decade. AIG has indeed made an invaluable contribution not only to the American economy, but to the global economy. It is beyond reason that this great company has fallen to ruin. Having worked directly for Hank Greenberg on a number of projects, and having experienced the success of the model he designed and put in place, I say with all my heart — BRING HIM BACK. He alone has the capability of managing this crisis, and he has the international contacts that would allow investors from the private sector to organize a solution. Why has he been shunned? Is it personal? Some male thing? Now is the time to put petty differences and a need for vengeance aside and work together to stabilize and begin to rebuild AIG - not only for the good of the 100,000 employees, or the shareholders, but for the welfare of the financial systems on a global basis.
