Comptroller Sees 'Trying Times,' But Is Bullish on Pension Fund

Submitted by michael don, Sep 18, 2008 08:57

The comptroller stated the other day that the pension fund only had 2 million shares of lehman stock and it hasn't affected the pension system, well if the stock was worth $45-50 in Jan 08 and worth 25 cents now I think the difference is staggering. At $50 a share the market value is $100 million at 25 cents a share it is worth $500,000. That kinda difference has no effect on any balance sheet. I hope he manages his check book better!
