How soon we forget..Eliot that is. I'm no legal historian, but I think I recall Eliot Spitzer bringing down AIG's CEO Hank Greenberg for, among other things, loose transfers of funds among AIG subsidiaries. Now, we have Governor Spitzer's successor (thankfully) helping rescue AIG by allowing them to transfer funds among subsidiaries and up to the holding company. Other than the media-induced corpses, what's changed in this picture?
