Spitzer: Gay Rites Ahead

Submitted by Mr. D. Gillespie, Jan 5, 2007 19:00

I'd like to meet the straight couple that broke-up, were divorced, or who's marriage was in some other way "damaged" by a gay couple tying the knot.

The notion that the institution of marriage is in some way "harmed" by someone else's marriage (the someone else, being gay) is not just ludicrous and idiotic; it's the bigot's coded way of saying they hate people not like themselves.

I can't forget the same cries of outrage in the 1960's when inter-racial marriage bans were lifted in the deep south.

The anti-gay marriage contingent should just don their white hoods and get it over with. I know a bigot when I see (or hear) one.
