Given the possibility that McCain's health could shorten his term as president, it's very important to scrutinize his choice for VP. In a way, then, you're really voting for her if you're voting for McCain, and voters need to be realistic about her abilities. Frankly, a commander-in-chief with her lack of experience- kids or no kids, you're right, it's irrelevant- is frightening in this economic crisis and time of war. McCain has let us down here- BIG TIME. You can't say 'hurrah for centrists' and ignore Palin's neocon leanings, either.
