Huzzah! It's time to repeal the capital gains tax, the "death" taxes, and lower the income tax (especially the marginal rates). That would allow private investors to realize real stability in the markets for the long term. It would also be a big help for the government to quit pushing bad loans through its front organizations (Fannie & Freddie) so that people are not duped into debt they can never repay. In fact, those organizations should be either privatized fully or abolished. Not only would that not be a bitter pill, it's something we all could celebrate!
