To report that "[The cast is] backed by an invisible, prerecorded band" is nothing less than irresponsible journalism. A) The voice over announces "Ladies and Gentleman, the Wonderettes band" during the curtain call, and the cast acknowledges them B) They're listed on page ONE of the Playbill, by instrument and by name C) You could have just ASKED someone.
