A blind man can see that Yankee Stadium is a sacred part of America. This shouldn't even be an issue. Stupid government decisions like this is why lots of areas of government have less respect than Rodney Dangerfield. We might as well also tear down the White House, Golden Gate Bridge, Statue of Liberty and other sacred icons of the United States. Common sense and moral decency alone tell you saving a portion of Yankee Stadium should be saved. The public is not as stupid as the government gives us credit for. If a normal middle-class person had been at the helm of WAMU , AIG and other big corporations, we would not be in this financial crisis. It's all related to GREED. Do what's right and save a part of Yankee Stadium. For all of it's glorious history, EVERYONE knows a part of it should be saved. The NY Landmarks Commission - or whatever the agency in charge messed up by not giving such status to Yankee Stadium. It's better to admit a mistake than to go ahead and follow through on the wrong decision that should never have seen the light of day. -Michael Wagner
