A Showcase for Opera's ‘It' Girl

I saw the Jan 3 performance. Everyone knew how wonderful Ms. N and Mr. Relyea were. I just want to mention that Eric Cutler did a great job as Arturo. Too bad, he was not able to sing the opening night. All critics heard the second cast tenor, Mr. Kunde, at the opening night. I did wish for Florez as Arturo, or thought at least the Met should have gotten Antonino Siragusa to sing it. After the performance, I was very pleased to hear Mr. Culter sing the role. He sang and acted well. His phrasing was beautiful. As for the insane F, it took some effort. Still, it was there and was sustained. Brovo! Mr. Cutler.

I heard the performance of Mr. Cutler as well. Inexperienced, immature, and no high F. Sorry. [MORE]
