Leak Probes Stymied, FBI Memos Show

Submitted by Retired FED, Jan 10, 2007 08:21

If the FBI sincerely wanted to investigate this they would not ask permission to talk to anyone. If there was interference, the Justice Department could criminally charge the offender with obstruction of Justice or making a false statement in a federal investigation ( a violation of 18 USC 1001). The Director Robert S. Mueller, should have met with the head of that agency and requested cooperation. If he did not agree, HE should have been charged as well. The excuse that any agency would not cooperate is baloney.
