Being objective, and gving commented on Jennifer Leussi's narrow-minded article, I offer my congratulations to Bret Thorn for a wider coverage of cuisines. But, as I said in my other communication (to Leuzzi's column) you still fail to cover borroughs, except Brooklyn, if only because itts borough president is publicity minded and has gone on a campaign to put again Brooklyn on the map. Is it our fault that Queens' boorough president doesn't counter that, if only because she doesn't care? Queens used to be King when it came to restaurants, but now things changed because of Brooklyn's BP who brought the QE to berth there among many other attractions. Still, that doesn't mean that Queens is less shiny on its establishments. I communicated with Mancini, a VP at Newsday a year ago, asking him why his paper gave up writing about Queens-and Brooklyn- but his answer was not satisfactory. Queens is where-outside of LI- are their most subscribers. But you knwo-they made exceptions! Like Christos (formerly Hasapotaverna) in Astoria, which is no longer heard.
