Don't let's forget Kerry's stellar college vg.record, including four D's -- one in history. Bush (one D -- in astronomy) outscored both him and Gore. So the supposed "joke" doesn't even ring true as any real joke should. (Plus which, if anyone "got 'US' stuck" it was the left, with their constant undermining criticism and antagonistic stance.) The best one-liner was Letterman's: "this guy can lose elections he's not even IN!" We also know what kind of serial lothario lifestyle Kerry led as a young "educated" man. Let's be glad the difference in values (and brains) is being well highlighted. I also noted with embarrassment Howard Dean's indignantly disdainful comment on Bush's reaction as having come from "someone who never even served". So much for respecting the National Guard as part of our Armed Forces. Just another of the myriad off-handed remarks that nearly always go unchallenged by the all-too-unhelpful media.
