Very Few Safe Bets Among Free Agent Starting Pitchers

This is one of the best articles Ive read about the free agent market this year and definitely one of the better articles ive ever read about the free agent market in general. I pretty much agree with everything you have said except you did not mention Ted lilly. He has a pretty solid arm, is reasonably young when compared to most FA and he has AL experience and great numbers against AL teams other than the yanks. Additionally, he does not seem to be injury prone. I think he would be a nice pick up as a number three or even two starter (for teams lacking in pitching) for any team in the major leagues. I am a yankees fan so of course I am rooting for the yanks to get him. What do you think?
