Ferry Will Speed To Coney Island From the Battery

Ms. Weisz of the firm Weisz + Yoes has it right that "uncertainty about the city's future plans for Governors Island is keeping the Battery Conservancy off many donors' radar." She, and Warrie Price could have been helpful in removing that uncertainty many years ago by helping to advocate the efficacy of our nonprofit project for which $100 million was already raised as a starter in the year 2000 (see www.TolerancePark.org).

This 10-year long "indecision" with respect to Governors Island is entirely the politicians' fault as they have refused to get engaged or to have any dialogue with us about these plans. They have been unable to share our vision for the common good which restores Governors Island's historic legacy and preserves New York's identity.

Our project for Governors Island could have been substantially completed by now if only the various downtown powers had not obstructed any progress. As Ms. Weisz said: "If Governors Island is going to be a big deal, its front yard would be Battery Park." Well, our project is such a big deal as is illustrated on www.NationalHeritageTriangle.com. So, hold your breadth.
