In the days post 9-11, I was surprised to see that West St was literally pulverized. The pavement was gone and the road was a dirt road, I saw remains recovered from the area within a few feet of the pavement, yet, to my knowledge, West St was not excavated before being repaved.

Is West St a graveyard? I think this question needs to be answered for all NYers
