Pressure Greets Plan To Ban Trans Fat in City

I am overweight and diabetic and have just hit the trans fat debacle, here in Australia as in other countries around the world, we have an ever increasing incidence of over weight and associated problems of diabetes type 2 even in young children, my question to those researching the problems with wide spread consumption of trans fats, is, can we see a relationship between these considerations ? 1. Obviously some people are more prone to become Diabetic. 2 Again, fat absorption and retention in the body varies with the individual. Is insulin resistance related to a diet loaded with trans fats. Is anyone looking at this possible problem ?
