The President's Tears

Submitted by Douglas Schwartz, Jan 12, 2007 13:21

You headed the editorial "The President's Tears." Fine. You paid tribute to Marine Corporal Jason Dunham, as you should. But you are beneath contempt in using his death as a club to attack Democrats. Corporal Dunham served the United States of America, not Democrats and Republicans, not President Bush(who is, by the way, the President of the United States of America, not "America," as you put it in the first sentence). He died to save his fellow marines, not a particular policy regarding Iraq. I might not agree with many of your editorial, but that is no big deal. However, this was beyond the pale. Douglas Schwartz, 63 East 9th St., NY, NY 10003.
