I really appreciate Mr. Lobenthal's reviews. Not only are they well written, but they see New York City Ballet for the great company it is today without constant comparisons to Balanchine's great company of some 40 years ago. He understands changes expected with time and sees the great talent displayed on stage with a critical eye.

He seems very knowledgable about ballet and I'm curious as to his dance background.

Kudos to Mr. Lobenthal. The Sun seems to have the best Dance critic in New York!
