Mitt is the Republican Party's "best and strongest candidate" and yet "the Romney campaign has clay feet and a glass jaw." The poor strongest candidate saddled with a lousy campaign. Wasn't that what happened to the supposedly strongest Republican candidate in 2008 too? "It is inconceivable that 41% of Republicans, even in South Carolina, really want Newt as president, but they have rewarded his eloquence and doughtiness by making him the instrument of their underwhelmed reticence about Mitt. " Reminds me of the quote attributed to Pauline Kael that she was surprised by Nixon's landslide since she didn't know anyone who voted for Nixon. Maybe you need to get out among the voters, Mr. Black. Or at least consult the exit polling. Facts can be a real help to analysis.
