The continuiing mixed messages of this administration prohibit any rational strategy upon which to fight a war, so we have generals, diplomats, bureaucrats and citizens taking their own tack; frequently opposed to the stated National Foreign Policy. With a smile and some quip about tolerating all free speech, this President has left the American ship of state rudderless. Our "new" Iraq Policy is "the old college try."
Perhaps Lawrence Franklin went a step too far but, what do you do when it seems the straight information never reaches the boardroom? His was a nasty gamble. I feel for him.
