Adams and Stimson

Please answer: How do you know anyone there is a terrorist? How do you figure in the payment of substantial bounties for the capture of many detainees? Or false accusations to settle a vendetta? Or mistaken identity? Or how about basing this answer on evidence generated by coercive interrogation techniques? How about the Government acknowledging that most detainees did not engage in any hostilities? Or how about the Government releasing over 300 of the "worst of the worst"? What do you think "reformed" them?

Or maybe you don't care about any of these complications. Maybe like Mr. Stimson, shutting out the idea of the detainees as human beings lets you assume they deserve punishment without trial. How would you like that standard applied to anyone you know? Could you explain it to any of the detainees' children?
