The Irbil Five

As noted in your editorial, on January 10th, American and coalition forces detained five Iranians in a raid in the town of Irbil, Iraq. Our military claims that they are illegal combatants and terrorists, therefore, they should be sent to Guantanamo. The Iranian govermant claims that they are "diplomats", and demands their release. Elements within the State Department and the CIA concur. I agree that they should be released to Iranian custody, following a suitable "cooling off" period. Four hundred forty four days should do the job!
