Amid Immigration, Home Depot Adds Spanish
in response to reader comment: English is the official language in the US

Mr. Lamb,

While I agree with you that Home Depot is a less than desirable place to do business, your reasons for objection are fairly close minded. The Unites States is & always has been a melting pot for people from all over the world. Loyalty to the "American public" means adapting when that public's demographic changes.

Were you this upset when stores de-segregated restrooms & water fountains? The article said nothing about replacing the English signage in stores... how does also have Spanish signs affect you? Perhaps the thought of not being superior to those whose families more recently migrated to the US is where your problem lies.

If I were Home Depot, I'd read your response and be happy that customers like you wouldn't be coming around anymore... I don't think they sell Confederate flags anyways.
