Amid Immigration, Home Depot Adds Spanish
in response to reader comment: ...and 14% of the U.S. is Hispanic

Submitted by TRICIA POOLE, Jan 23, 2007 17:26

When people come here legally they have to learn english. Therefore one can conclude that if they are needing signs in spanish because they can not read english then they came here illegally, have broken laws and therefore need to be sent back to where they came from. When we had a large amount of german, irish, chinese and italian immigrants no one caterd to them. They were required to learn english. Why should hispanics get special treatment that no one else has been afforded? Quit catering to illegals and this problem goes away. There will be no need for signs with any other language on them except for the ones at Disneyland.
