I don't believe the US has ANY official language. If you look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States it states:

Although the United States has no official language at federal level, English is the de facto national language. In 2003, about 215 million, or 82%, of the population aged five years and older spoke only English at home.

Some states have made English the official language, but as of yet, the US does not have one.
