Horse Slaughterhouses May Face Charges Unless They Close
in response to reader comment: Justice Triumphs Over Special Interests

Thanks to the New York Sun for printing this article. More Americans need to know of the inhumane practice of killing America's horses domestic and wild, yes that's right our wild horses go to slaughter too, just to satisfy foreign appetites for meat and money. The 3 slaughter plants only employ about 100 people. The rest of their money stays in foreign pockets. These 100,000 plus horses are not unwanted, old, sick or frail. They are young (sometimes just babies) fat, usable horses that die for the greedy. Without killer buyers at the auction houses, the horses would go to homes with new careers. Horse are giving medications know to cause cancer in humans. Eating the meat of these horses is not a good idea.
