I personally wish that conservatives would underdstand the kind of guy Rudy really is. I was still living in New York while he was mayor, and let me tell you he really, truly turned that city around and brought it back to a greatness it never saw. Ask any New Yorker and they will tell you that. He crippled organized crime, putting himself and his own family at risk, he told Arafat to go to hell, he turned down a donation from the Saudi's after 9-11, he turned the economy completely around, he got rid of the high crime rate, he vastly improved the quality of life for all New Yorkers. The man is a proven leader. As for his liberal views on some social issues, its not as left as the liberal media is making it out to be. He is a man with conviction and he has to respect the fact that he led a city of 8 million MOSTLY democrats. But he does not approve of gay marriage and he personally does not fully support abortion. He defends the right to own a gun to protect yourself and family. In fact the democrats and the liberal media want to damage rudy's chances of becoming the Republican nominee because they fear him the MOSTof any other candidates.
