What's Posh Out West?

First of all, as a born-and-raised Angeleno/New York transplant that loves both cities, thank you for this collection of comparison articles. At the risk of validating the superficial STEREOTYPE of Los Angeles, I will comment on the fashion article, only to point out that as a past and present resident of both towns, one of the biggest drivers of how I get dressed in the morning has nothing to do with celebrities or being sophisticated. Global warming aside, when it's 20 degrees out, I am not wearing a tank top, no matter how much I paid for it. And if I have to walk 20 blocks, I surely will invest in my wardrobe and not wear a frivolous pair of uncomfortable-yet cute-shoes. A majority of the everyday shoppers in both cities would likely agree. After all, when I go home to Los Angeles for the holidays, all I want to wear are baby tees, jeans and flip-flops when I drive to the beach. Why? Because it's December, and I CAN.
