I normally don't respond to these articles, but I thougt for this one, it may be appropriate.. I cannot help but to offer a different view of an Amerca in denial. Forty years ago, there was a Commission on the state of race relations in this country with a report that said "there are two America's, one Black, one white, separate and unequal" That was forty years ago! There is a saying, history is best qualified to reward the researcher (I hope I said it right) lest we forget, America was peopled by English settlers let out of prisons in that country. Good ole George Washington was not just the president, he was a slave owner and a dreg on European society don't you remember?, or maybe most do not know this. There may have been a time where America had morals and values, maybe a culture, a white European one. Mr. Colon has a nerve to mention Bro. Ron Karenga as though his personal lot in life has helped deteriorate this country, strange how she didn't mention the Priest and their raping of children as an example. My ancestors did not arrive on these shores on the Nina, The Pinta or The Santa Maria, so excuse me if I don't run out flag waving.
