The stakes with the Russian supported Iranian régime are far greater then only Iraq, however in terms of our troops plus others of other Coalition combating the enemy, it is absolutely paramount for their safety that not only the terrorist exporting Iranian dictatorship be wiped out, but also that of the Moscow supported Damascus Assad clan which arms Hezballah along with Pal-Arab terrorists as well.
The much broader threat poised by Iran's nuclear crazed Shi'ite jihadic rulers is global economic blackmail & nuclear missile attacks aimed at both Israel, our military forces and throughout the oil rich sea lanes of the Persian Gulf region.
We are confronted with an enemy as diabolically evil as the Nazi SS, an enemy which if not stopped is on record as stating they fully intend to attempt the total extermination of the Jewish state of Israel, then billions of other 'infidels' will be butchered so their Shi'ite Mahdi can return and 'finish the job'.
On November 16th, 2005, Ahmadinejad gave a speech in Tehran, "pave the path for the glorious reappearance of Imam Mahdi, may Allah hasten his reappearance." Ahmadinejad firmly believes he has been hand picked by "Allah" to instigate the return of the Mahdi through global war.
The Ahmadinejad jihadist dictatorship is like Hitler with the Bomb.
During World War II the Allies were keenly aware of Berlin's determined quest for a acquiring an atom bomb. Air raids were launched on the Nazis heavy water facilities in Norway. Other Nazi atom bomb sites were taken out by various resistance groups since not accomplishing these vital missions was totally unthinkable for the entire world.
Invading Iran will not resolve the Iranian nuclear weapons threat, however since our armed forces are technically surrounding Iran, possessing air bases in Iraq, Afghanistan including our carrier groups patrolling the Arabian Sea & Persian Gulf, are more then capable of full scale surgical air strikes, which will work, if the entire Iranian régime is targeted, coupled with all nuclear weapons sites, no matter the location inside Iran.
We need to be mindfully cognizant the terrible cost of not attacking the main source oil funded Shi'ite global terrorism is beyond unthinkable. It's already unthinkable for the families of our soldiers who have murdered by Iranian trained and armed killers.
