"If there weren't existing tenants above most of these buildings, Chambers Street would be done already." Seems like Chambers St was already " discovered" some 30-odd years ago when those "existing tenants" made creepy factory spaces into wonderful homes in which to raise families and run businesses. As in much of Tribeca, many of these hard-working middle class families are now being displaced by this luxury gentrification.
