Dear Alicia: This is in response to your artical of January 30, 2007. We read faithfully when you wrote for the S. I. daily newspaper. You are sorely missed by many Staten Islanders for a counterpoint to the liberal propaganda available in New York City.

We have managed investments for clients for many years. We can furnish this observation. Not unlike politicians of any stripe, when faced with a problem you select a committee to resolve the issue and or make a contribution hoping the anoyance to the corporation will go away in due course. So it is with the former Vice President and his movie on Global Warming. It too will fade away. One can make this observation because, when given an opportunity to converse with the leading Danish Climate Scientist living today, Gore decided to avoid such a meeting. And why not? The Dane knows more about climate than the politician.

We are old enough to remember other "FADS". The most interesting that one can cite is that when the leader of Russia removed one of his shoes, pounded his desk at the U.N. and threatened the world with Russian nuclear power. All levels of Government went into 1st gear and supplied all of us with detailed instructions on how to build a concrete shelter under the house and of course purchase appropriate supplies to survive a nuclear fire storm. Strangely that also passed. The Earth Radicals and their agenda will also pass. Their impact being equal to a dot on a very large page.
