Bin Laden To Release Video With 9/11 Hijacker's Final Will

By Bloomberg News | September 11, 2007

LONDON — Osama bin Laden will appear in a new video, presenting the final will of one of the September 11, 2001, hijackers, an American-based organization that monitors extremist Web sites said.

Al Qaeda's press branch Al-Sahab announced that Mr. bin Laden will present the last will of Abu Musab Waleed al-Shehri, Virginia-based IntelCenter said yesterday in a statement sent by e-mail. The Saudi-born Mr. Shehri was identified by the September 11 Commission as a "muscle hijacker" for his role in supporting the takeover of one of the airliners on September 11.

The latest video featuring Mr. bin Laden was released on September 7. In the video, which came days before the sixth anniversary of the September 11 attacks, Mr. bin Laden said Islamic radicals will persuade the American government to stop the Iraq war by continuing to escalate killing and fighting, the Washington-based SITE Intelligence group said. Before that, Mr. bin Laden hadn't released a video since October 2004, and his last audiotape was in June 2006.

"Osama bin Laden will be giving a statement in the new upcoming release," the chief executive of IntelCenter, Ben Venzke, said. "We believe he will appear in the video, however, there is a chance it will just be audio," Mr. Venzke said in a statement.
