Gates: Iran's Missile Test Proves Threat

WASHINGTON — Defense Secretary Gates said Iran's missile test bolsters the American argument that Tehran is a threat. He also said it counters Russia's case against the need for a missile defense system in Europe.
Mr. Gates said America has said for some time that there is a real threat Iran could develop long-range missiles to use against Europe. He says Tehran's launch of several missiles today helps make that point.
