Helmut Kohl To Marry Woman 35 Years Younger

BERLIN — Helmut Kohl, who as chancellor steered Germany through reunification, is to marry a woman 35 years his junior. Mr. Kohl, 78, will wed 43-year-old Maike Richter, an economist from Germany's finance ministry. They have been in a relationship since 2005. The announcement came just two months after he reportedly required emergency surgery.
