Pope's Words Of Wisdom, Now Via Text Message

By The Daily Telegraph | February 8, 2008

ROME — John Paul II's words of wisdom will soon be beamed to worshippers in Italy in the form of a daily text message on their mobile phones.

A new service, offering a quotation and a picture of the late pontiff, has been set up by Vodafone and Joaquin Navarro Valls, who worked for 16 years as John Paul II's spokesman. The quotations, which cost $.36 for a simple message or $.52 with a photograph of John Paul, will be available at the end of the month.
