Alligator Raised In Basement Heads to Sanctuary
BUFFALO, N.Y. — An alligator raised in the basement of a house in Buffalo is headed to a new home in Florida. A former Buffalo couple who operate a reptile sanctuary in Tampa removed the 8-foot-long gator yesterday. The person who owned the 170-pound reptile had contacted the state Department of Environmental Conservation and said he couldn't care for the animal.
