Test Scores Rise Since No Child Left Behind

Student test scores have risen in most states, including New York, since the federal No Child Left Behind law passed in 2002, a national study released yesterday found. Gaps between racial and income groups persist but have narrowed. A D.C.-based research group, the Center on Education Policy, used reading and math scores to conduct the study.
