2 City Workers Injured At Construction Sites

By Associated Press | April 30, 2008

Authorities say two New York City workers are in critical condition after separate accidents on construction sites.

A man was hit Monday night by a bulldozer that was backing up at a construction site on Staten Island.

Another worker fell yesterday morning about 25 feet inside a hospital building under construction on Manhattan's East Side. City officials say the man fell while trying to secure a steel beam on the second floor.

The accidents occurred just after thousands attended a memorial service at St. Patrick's Cathedral on Monday for construction workers killed on the job.
