By Special to the Sun | January 30, 2007

Police are investigating the death of a baby girl, whose body was found in the basement incinerator room of a Bronx apartment building yesterday.

The months-old infant was discovered around 4 p.m. by building maintenance staff at the Mitchell Houses housing development on Willis Avenue in Mott Haven, police said. Last night police were searching for the baby's parents.

In separate incidents yesterday, police reported the deaths of a one-month old Bronx boy and a one-year-old Brooklyn girl. Police said they do not suspect criminality in either case.
