City Council Member Featured In Winning Documentary at Sundance
City Council member James Gennaro was a hit at Sundance. "Fields of Fuel," a documentary that features an interview with Mr. Gennaro, won the film festival's coveted Documentary Audience Award.
Mr. Gennaro, who is seen in the movie discussing legislation he introduced that would require heating oil sold in the city to contain biodiesel, traveled to Sundance over Martin Luther King Day weekend to promote the film. The bill, which would also regulate the sulfur content in heating oil sold in the city, was debated earlier this week at a City Council hearing chaired by Mr. Gennaro.
"I am honored to be part of such a worthwhile project dedicated to raising the consciousness about this watershed issue," Mr. Gennaro said yesterday in a statement.
