City Private Schools Raise Tuition by 6%

Elite New York City private schools will raise tuition by about 6% for the 2007-2008 academic year. According to admissions office representatives, Fieldston will cost $30,440, Horace Mann $30,830, Dalton $31,200, and Riverdale Country a whopping $33,100. The Director of Public Information at the National Association of Independent Schools, Myra McGovern, said that the cost of private education in New York is significantly higher than the national average.
