City Solon Funds Bodega Cameras To Stem Crime

By Special to the Sun | May 25, 2007

Jose Peralta, who represents the Corona section of Queens, presented a $250,000 check yesterday to the Bodega Association of the United States that will pay for about 200 security cameras for local business owners in the district.

The camera initiative has greatly cut down on bodega robberies in Manhattan and the Bronx since it was implemented last year, the association said.
